AVG flags Clean Access file as Trojan
Perform the following steps to add an exception to AVG
- Right click on the AVG icon in the system tray and click on AVG user interface
- Click on "Components" at the top menu bar
- Click on "Resident Shield" in the drop down
- Click on manage exceptions
- Click on add path on the left side
- Click on Computer then Local Disk then Cisco Systems
- Click OK twice
- Restart Your Computer
Clean Access network error "Network Error: SSL certificate REV failed"
Occasionally you will find that when you log into the Cisco
Clean Access Agent you receive an error:
"Network Error: SSL certificate REV failed [12057]"
Follow these instructions to fix the problem
- Open up Internet Explorer
- Click on Tools>Internet Options
- Click on the Advanced tab
- Scroll down towards the bottom to the Security section
- Uncheck "Check for server certificate revocation"
- Close Internet Explorer and the Clean Access Agent
- Start the Clean Access Agent and log in
Why do I have to authenticate to the network?
Clean Access associates you with your computer. This allows
Computer Services to quickly and accurately pinpoint
computers on campus that may be causing problems. Clean
Access helps keep our
network and computer safe!
How do I get to the log in page?
Before your computer is able to access Ouachita’s computer network, you must open a web browser and log-in to Clean Access using your TigerMail username and password. Whenever you open a web browser for the first time in your computer session, you will be automatically redirected to the Clean Access home page to log-in. After you have authenticated your computer you will be given access to the Internet.
What if I have forgotten or don't know my Tigermail password?
On the log in page, you will find a link to click if you have forgotten your password that will allow you to set a new password. The direct link for resetting your password is here.
Why does Clean Access ask me to log in several
times in a row?
If your computer is connected to the network more than one
way at a time, the Clean Access Agent might get confused as
to which port the authentication request came in on and
which port to send it out. Please only connect through
either wired or wireless at any given time. You can either
unplug your wired Ethernet cable, or turn off wireless by a
button, function key, or in Windows.
When
does my computer's authentication expire?
You will be required to authenticate to the network any time
your computer has been asleep, powered off, or disconnected
from Clean Access.
Clean Access says I'm logged in, but I can't get a web page to load?
We have found that firewall products (Norton Internet Security, Zone Alarm, McAfee Personal Firewall) affect internet connectivity with Clean Access. You should disable the firewall. Restart your computer and login again to Clean Access. The Windows Firewall should be enabled as it will not interfere with Clean Access. To check your Windows Firewall setting Click Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall. Check the Radio Button is set to ON.

Why does it seem slow the first log in?
The first time you log in, you may notice a slight delay. This is caused by the product checking your computer to make sure it has the current security patches and has virus protection.
Why are you scanning my computer when I log in?
I know there will be those that are uncomfortable with a program scanning their computer, but let me assure you, this is NOT spyware. This scan serves no purpose except to ensure your computer is safe to use on the network. By taking these measures, you can be assured that your computer will not infect another student’s computer with a virus, or that your computer will be infected.
