If you are able to view this page - congratulations - you have already completed step 1. Otherwise, if you are viewing this from another computer, follow the steps below to connect to the "ouachita" network.
Step 1: Connect to the network through a wired or wireless connection..
For a wired connection, plug your
Ethernet cable (not a phone cable) into your computer and
into the wall jack in your room. If you need to
purchase a cable, the cable should be a minimum of 25 feet
in length.
For a wireless connection follow the steps below based on your operating system:
Mac OS 10.5 1. Click on the 2. Click on the "Network" icon under the "Internet and Network" heading. 3. Click on the "AirPort" connection located in the left menu bar. 4. In the main window under "Status:" make sure your AirPort connection is turned on. 5. Once the computer has scanned for available wireless networks to join, click on the "Network Name" drop down box and select "OUACHITA." 6. After this is done, close the system preferences window and open your internet browser.

Step 2: Install Clean Access
1. Open a web browser (example: Safari or Firefox) and enter the address http://securesmart.obu.edu if you are not automatically redirected.
2. Enter your TigerMail username and password (if you have not set up your TigerMail acount click on the link "To setup your TigerMail or password". You will need to have your ID card to complete this step.)
3. A new feature for MAC users is the installation of Clean Access Agent. Mac users will be prompted to download and install Clean Access Agent. Download the Clean Access Agent to your desktop. Execute the installation and then click on the following prompts: Continue>Continue>Continue>Install>Enter Local Password>Close
4. Log in to the Clean Access program using your TigerMail username and password.

Step 3: Protect your computer
1. Click on the "Apple" icon
and select "Software Update." Install all available updates.
2. Install an antivirus program if you do not already have one.
